SERVICES APPRECIATED

BY LEAGUE OF MOTHERS PRESENTATION VO MRS M. HOPE On Wednesday night an enjoyable gathering Was held at the home of Mrs F. Traynor, Casel Street, Masterton, when Mrs Miller Hope was the guest of honour. For many years Mrs Hope has trained the League of Mothers’ choir, which meant conducting a practice every fortnight. Not only has this choir given pleasure at each meeting of the League, but has helped with entertainments at many outside gatherings. A large number of old and present-day choir members assembled to do honour to Mrs Hope, and as a token of appreciation presented her with a beautifully hand-worked linen supper cloth.

Mrs L. B. Maunsell, the president of the League of Mothers, was presented with a shoulder spray.
