BADOGLIO CABINET
JOINED BY TWO LEFT WINO LEADERS MATTEOTTI MURDER RECALLED. ARREST OF ACCUSED FASCIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 24. Two Left Wing Italian political leaders have been included in Marshal Badoglio’s Government, reports Reuter’s correspondent in Italy. A Socialist, Professor Pazzi, has been nominated as Under-Secretory of Information, and Professor Carbino, after previously declining Marshal Badoglio’s offer, has accepted the Under-Secre-taryship of Industry and Labour. Italian Government circles state that the appointments represent a profound change in the character of the Government.
The British authorities at Sorrento have' arrested Cesare Rossi, former Italian propaganda chief, whose name was associated With the killing of Signor Matteotti, the leader of the Italian Parliamentary Opposition, after Mussolini had assumed power, reports a British United Press correspondent. Rossi, in an interview, said: “I had nothing to do with the Matteotti affair, which was planned by Mussolini. I am one of those who accused Mussolini. That is why I have since been persecuted by the Fascists.”
