MEN ON FURLOUGH ANNOUNCEMENT BY MINISTER (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An announcement that the leave of those members of the furlough draft who are to return overseas had been extended till further notice was made last evening by the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones. “The men concerned,” said the Minister, “will receive in due course notices from their area officers calling them up for dispatch to camp, and till they are required to report they will continue on leave on full pay.” The Minister stated that the extension of leave did not include an extension of the free railway pass, which therefore would expire tomorrow.
