PRICES AT ADDINGTON RECENT VALUES MAINTAINED EXCEPT FOR FAT SHEEP . AND CATTLE (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, November 24. Except for fat sheep and fat cattle, last week’s values were well maintained at the Addington stock sale today. Store wethers made up to 27s 6d. Shorn hoggets were not as keenly sought after as at recent sales. The best price was 28s for ewes, and best wethers made to 26s 6d. Woolly ewes with lambs were in better demand than last week and prices showed a rise of Is a head. In fat sheep, prices for the first half of the sale were up to last week’s level, but there was a marked easing in the demand toward the close, and prices showed a considerable drop in the last few offerings. The highest price for wethers was 43s 7d, and for ewes 38s Id. The fat cattle market was irregular and prices for prime quality were down by 15s a head, and cows and unfinished steers dropped by 20s to 255. A few pens of best beef made to 60s per 1001 b.
