INDIANS IN MAURITIUS
THREE KILLED AND THREE WOUNDED DURING RECENT LABOUR DISTURBANCE. OCCURRENCE UNDER INQUIRY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) NEW DELHI, November 24. Three Indians were killed and three wounded in recent labour disturbances in Mauritius, a Government spokesman told the Council of State. He added that when labourers were demonstrating for higher wages, the police fired on a crowd. The occurrence was under inquiry.
