OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

LACK OF COURTESY (To the Editor) Sir, —Please allow me space to comment on the lack of manners displayed by some of the youths and young men of Carterton, who travel home on the five o’clock bus. They invariably rush in ahead of the ladies and secure a seat in the rear of the bus. Tonight in particular there were at least two elderly ladies, and several of middle age, standing, whilst the very gentlemanly persons previously mentioned remained seated. I'm sure their parents would be very proud of them, could they have seen them. —Yours, etc., J.L.K. Carterton, November 23.
