DUTCH AIR CADETS
TRAINED IN UNITED STATES MANY ALREADY ON WAR FRONTS Interviewed in New York, MajorGeneral L. H. van Oyen, newly-ap-pointed Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Netherlands Indies Army, before his departure to Australia, where he has just arrived, revealed that the training of all Dutch air cadets in the United States will be finished at the beginning of next year. Major-General van Oyen, who has become Lieutenant-General since his arrival in Australia, said further: “Many students who graduated from the training centre in Port Jackson (Mississippi) have already gone to the fighting fronts—sent to England, Australia and to the Netherlands Naval . Air Service. A considerable number V>f Jackson-trained flyers has.already ■seen action in England and Australia. ..where we are organising more bomber and fighter squadrons.”
