SIR WILLIAM STRANG

BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE. ON EUROPEAN ADVISORY COMMISSION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, November 21. It is officially announced that Sir William Strang, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, has been appointed United Kingdom representative on the European Advisory Commission. His indefatigable help at every stage of the Moscow conference, where he was, as Mr Eden said, “the British Foreign Office leader of our team,” has also been recognised by the award of K.C.M.G. The British representative on the commission will have the rank of ambassador. The other two members of the commission have not yet been announced.
