SIR O. MOSLEY
MAY BE UNDER HOUSE ARREST. STATEMENT PROMISED BY HOME SECRETARY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, November 20. Sir. Oswald and Lady Mosley were released from Holloway prison today. Elaborate precautions were taken to ensure that their departure was secret. A former member of the British Union of Facists stated: “I imagine Sir. Oswald Mosley will be under housearrest. The Mosleys were met at Holloway by a representative of the Home Office and were taken by car to the place where they will live during their period of liberty.” It is understood that Mosley may at any time be imprisoned, again if the conditions contained in a document which he has signed are not fulfilled. He is believed to have been taken to Oxfordshire for medical treatment. The Home Secretary, Mr Herbert Morrison, has promised to make a statement to the House of Commons on the Mosleys’ release. He said he would have no difficulty in convincing the country that the Government was unwavering in its adherence to the principles for which we were fighting.
