MAIN GERMAN AIR BASE IN NORWAY ■ NINE LIBERATORS MISSING EIGHT ENEMY AIRCRAFT SHOT DOWN LONDON, November 18. The target of the American Liberators in their latest raid on Norway was the principal German air base in that country, situated near Osio. The weather was good and the bombing accurate. The enemy air base, which compares in importance with those in the Low Countries, was heavily defended and nine Liberators are missing. Three of them are reported to ■ have landed in Sweden, where the crews, uninjured, were interned. Eight enemy fighters were shot down by the Liberators.
