C. last night sent out a special warning to the people of France about coming Allied air attacks. He then named targets in 36 places, including Paris, Nantes, Le Mans, Limoges, Toulouse, Lille and Lyons, which from now on would be heavily bombed either by day or night. The broadcast concluded; “This is the limit to what can be said consistent with the success of the operations which may directly affect the duration of the war and the date of your liberation. It would, therefore, be of the greatest urgency for all those working and living near the targets listed to take all precautions. ARSENAL EXPLOSION WORK OF FRENCH PATRIOTS. TREMENDOUS DAMAGE DONE. LONDON, November 18. French patriots have blown up a gasholder and a powder magazine within the arsenal at Grenoble, causing tremendous damage, reports the correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” on the French frontier. The arsenal guard of 10 German soldiers and also 15 Frenchmen were killed. The Germans as a reprisal arrested 400 Frenchmen. , French patriots also stormed the Grenoble prison and released three socalled terrorists and raided the Grenoble town hall and destroyed records. Patriots killed M. Andre Bonamy, aged-64, former Vichy colonial governor and chief of propaganda. His body was found in a gutter near a car. in which he was driving home. The “Tribune de Geneve” says that the number arrested now totals 1500, of whom 600 are named as hostages. A state of seige has been proclaimed in Grenoble, with a curfew.
