LAND SALES COMMITTEE
WELLINGTON RURAL AREA. MASTERTON APPLICATION ADJOURNED. A meeting of the Wellington Rural Land Sales Committee was held in Wellington this week. Members present were: Messrs T. Jordan (chairman), G. A. Hansen, T. G. Vincent, and the Crown representative, Mr Christie. There were eighteen applications foi" consent and there was not a single one in respect to farm lands. In 15 of the applications the committee was able to decide upon giving its consent to the transaction without requiring a hearing of the parties. Of the other three cases one was adjourned for a further valuation of the sale of a nursery property. ’ Another case, relating to the sale of a property in Wrigley Street, Masterton, was adjourned pending the receipt of a farther valuation. In the remaining 4He the committee reserved its deciSon pending receipt of a ruling by the Land Sales Court.
Of two cases carried over from the previous sitting one application was consented to on receipt of a fresh valuation required by the committee, while in the other case the vendor appeared in person and the committee was able to give its decision in his favour.
