NEW KNOX MINISTER

ORDINATION SERVICE LARGE GATHERING IN MASTERTON. PRESENTATION TO REV. D. McNEUR. There was a large attendance at the McGregor Hall, Masterton, last night, when the ordination of the Rev. D. Storkey took place. The Rev. David McNeur, retiring interim Moderator of the Knox Church, officiated. The address to the congregation was delivered by the Rev. Madill (Martinborough) and the address to the new minister by the Rev. H. Bloomfield. Following the service a social gathering was held when Mr McNeur presented the cushion, in colours of blue and gold, used in the ordination to Mr Storkey. Mr G. D. Wilson, session clerk, on behalf of the congregation, welcomed Mr Storkey. Miss Feist spoke on behalf of the young people, and Mrs G. W. Morice presented Mr Storkey’s mother and his"sister with sprays. The Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich, on behalf of the Masterton Ministers’ Association, welcomed Mr Storkey and Mr Madill extended a welcome to him on behalf of the Wairarapa Presbytery. Mr Storkey suitably replied. Opportunity was taken to present Mr McNeur with a substantial cheque as a parting token of the esteem and high regard in which he was held by the Knox congregation. Mr McNeur returned thanks. Supper was served by ‘the Knox Social Guild.
