WOMEN’S DIVISION MAURICEVILLE-IHURAUA BRANCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance’ of members at a meeting of the Maurice-ville-Ihuraua branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held at the residence of Mr and Mrs W. H. Cheetham. Mrs Cheetham presided. A small gift was presented to the president as a reminder of the recent carnival. It was decided to donate £lOO to the Merchant Navy Hostel building fund. A parcel was packed for each of the 29 local men serving overseas. It was decided that afternoon tea will in future be provided by the branch at the cost of threepence each. Mrs Cheetham was accorded a vote of thanks for her hospitality and for having provided afternoon tea. Competitions were won by Mesdames Forsberg and Judd.
