JAPANESE SUBMARINE

NOW LYING AT BORDEAUX. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 16. The Madrid correspondent of the “Daily Mail” reports that a Japanese submarine is now lying in the Garonne River at Bordeaux, western France. This is the first time a Japanese submarine has come into Bordeaux, though two others anchored at the mouth of the river. It is believed that the submarine will take to the Japanese machine tools, optical instruments and fittings which are small in weight and bulk. The voyage takes about 65 days.
