MAURICEVILLE

ENJOYABLE DANCE IN HONOUR OF MEMBER OF NAVY. (“Times-Age” Special.) A dance in honour of O/Tel. L. McKeown, R.N.Z.N., was held in the Mauriceville East Hall on Saturday night. Mr E. W. Cheetham made a presentation on behalf of the settlers, and Mr McKeown suitably replied. It was stated that the guest of honour’ was the first naval man to leave the district. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mr and Miss Russell, of Hamua. Mr F. Pain was M.C., and supper was provided by a capable ladies’ committee.
