Tn the execution of his duty at a city fire this morning Eric Bright, of Sandringham, a’ member of the Auckland Central Fire Brigade, lost his life. Aged 28 and unmarried, he was a veteran of the campaigns in Greece, Crete and Libya. Mr Bright joined the fire brigade in 1937. He went overseas with the Fourth Reinforcements.
