AMERICAN AMBASSADOR’S SON A PRISONER. WING COMMANDER GLEED PRESUMED DEAD. i (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, November 12. Lieutenant John Winant, a bomber pilot and son of the American Ambassador, who was reported missing after the raid against Munster on Wednesday, is a prisoner in Germany. Acting Wing Commander lan Richard Gleed, aged 26, one of the outstanding pilots of the war, is officially presumed to be killed.
