ST. BRIDE’S CONVENT
BRILLIANT ENTERTAINMENT MUCH TALENT IN EVIDENCE /The children of St Bride’s Convent presented a brilliant entertainment last evening in St. Patrick’s Assembly Hall. Every item presented elicited well merited praise. A great deal of talent was in evidence, but the action songs by the juniors were received with much applause as these youthful entertainers seemed so much at home on the stage that they forgot they were acting and were really as pleased with themselves as the audience was with them. The perfect rendering of the songs presented by the senior choir was a feast in itself. Two plays, entitled “Whither Goest Thou?” and “The Sleeping Reality,” were very well acted, and special praise should be given to Margaret Hoar, Agnes Devenny, Helen Carter and Shirley Peers for their outstanding performance. The following was the programme: — Opening chorus, Senior Choir; verse speaking, St Brigid’s pupils; pianoforte trio, P. Hewetson, J. McLaren, A. Devenny; skipping dance, P. Jiunt; recitation, J.
