LORD WOOLTON

MADE BRITISH MINISTER OF RECONSTRUCTION WITH SEAT IN WAR CABINET. OTHER CHANGES ANNOUNCED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 11. Lord Woolton (at present Minister of Food) becomes Minister of Reconstruction, with a seat in the War Cabinet. Other Ministerial changes announced are: —Minister of Health, Mr H. U. Willink; Minister of Food, Colonel J. J. Liewellin; Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Mr Ernest Brown; Minister Resident in Washington for Supply, MBen Smith; Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Aircraft Production, Lieutenant A. T. Lennox-Boyd, R.N.V.R.

Another message says Lord Wool ton will be in full charge of the task of rebuilding Britain after the war. He will carry out the programme, outlined by Mr Churchill in his Mansion House speech, of providing food, work and homes for all.
