R.A.F. NIGHT ATTACK

ON ENTRANCE TO MONT CENIS TUNNEL VITAL LINK IN ENEMY COMMUNICATIONS. WITH NORTH-WEST ITALY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 11. British bombers last night made a heavy attack on Modane, in southeast France, the entrance to the Mont Cenis tunnel leading through the Alps into north-west Italy. The tunnel was put out of action by Allied bombing in the middle of September, and since then the Germans have been working feverishly to restore the communications, which are of great importance to the enemy forces in Italy.

Mosquitoes attacked targets in northwest Germany and there were raids on transport targets in northern France, from which two fighters are missing.

There was an alert in outer London last night.
