The following official weather 1 report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at neon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh south-easterly to easterly winds. Weather cloudy and cool with scattered drizzle more especially in the morning. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Similar conditions. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 7 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. The Waingawa Sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum, 69.5; minimum, 50; terrestrial, 48; sunshine, 10 hours 7 minutes.
