FINAL WARNING
ADDRESSED TO YUGOSLAV CHETNIKS BETRAYING THEIR COUNTRY. GENERAL WILSON’S MESSAGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CAIRO, November 9. A strong warning to General Mikhailovitch’s Chetniks to stop fighting the Yugloslav Partisans has been given by the Commander-in-Chief, Middle East, Lieutenant-General Sir H. Maitland Wilson, in a message addressed to all the fighters in Yugoslavia. General Wilson, after paying a tribute to the notable successes of the Yugoslav fighters, said: “In some areas in western Yugoslavia, particularly Dalmatia, certain men are dishonouring the name of Chetnik by helping the Germans in their vain attempts to subdue the forces of liberation. These men are shamefully betraying the cause of their country.
“I give this final warning. Every man who, from whatever motive, helps the Germans is an enemy of the United Nations and will be regarded as a traitor to his country if he does not immediately "desert from the German service.
A correspondent says that the honour of General Mikhailovitch is not questioned.
