JAPANESE THREATS
REGARDING TREATMENT OF WAR PRISONERS.

The German news agency publishes a report from Tokio that Japan has asked the Spanish Embassy in Washington, which is looking after Japanese interests in the United States, to lodge a protest with the United States against the treatment of Japanese war prisoners and civilian internees in the United States' A Japanese spokesman said Japan will take appropriate countermeasures should, statements from repatriated Japanese prove true.
