MASTERTON PARK

FINE DISPLAY ATTRACTS MANY VISITORS. a Splendid showings of spring blooms in the Masterton Park have attracted large numbers of residents and 'Visitors during the past few weeks. Near the main entrance gates there is still a fine display of pansies and primula. There has been a wonderful display of Iceland poppies while in the background azealeas and rhododendrons have made a vivid showing. Despite the difficulties of the wet season the Park Custodian, Mr F. H. Knowles and his staff have kept the park in first class order. For the next few weeks they will have a busy time bedding out plants for the summer displays. The roses are coming into bloom in the rose gardens and from the profusion of buds there should be a fine showing.
