LANSDOWNE SCHOOL
COMMITTEE MEETING LAST NIGHT NEW HEADMASTER WELCOMED The monthly meeting of the Lansdowne School Committee was held in Masterton last night.' There were present Messrs A. V. Faulknor (chairman), J. G. Dogg. J. R- Donovan, J. G. McKay. C. K. Long, John McGregor, R. E. Baker and C. H. Jarvis (secretary). The chairman extended a cordial welcome on behalf of the committee to the new headmaster. Mr R. Robbie, and expressed the wish that he would have a happy stay in Masterton. In his reply Mr Robbie said he wished to congratulate the caretaker on the splendid " way he looked after the grounds and school buildings. The school roll was stated to be 272, and it was reported that the attendance had been good.
