BOWLING
PARK CLUB PROGRESSIVE PAIRS TOURNEY. KEENLY CONTESTED GAMES. The favourable weather conditions during the week-end found the green well patronised, a pleasing feature being the number of newly elected members- taking an actiye part, whilst visitors from Wellington and Waipukurau were also in attendance. The green was well up to its usual high standard, and the wind, although at times making play rather tricky, added a decided keenness. Afternoon tea was served in the new hall, which is nearing completion, and the vastly improved appointments were fully appreciated.
Several very interesting games were played on Saturday, whilst the progressive pairs tourney played during the week-end was keenly contested. Five games were played, the winners being C.
