Count Sforza told Press correspondents at Naples that the presence of King Victor Emmanuel was obnoxious. The names of King Victor.and Crown Prince Umberto were closely associated with Mussolini and the symbol of Fascism. By abdicating now the King would assure the continuance of the House of Savoy in favour of the six-year-old Prince of Naples.
