SCOUTS AND CUBS
-— — PARADES IN MASTERTON. At the weekly parade of the Mo Katoa Scout troop there was a fail’ attendance. Mr A. W. Allsop, the District Scoutmaster, and Mr C. Pedersen, a former troop leader of the troop, visited the troop. Mr A. Levick also attended and instructed the troop in semaphore signalling. A new chum, Owen Wellington, passed the Tenderfoot tests, gaining excellent marks. The Karoro Patrol having gained the most marks in the past month gained the inter-patrol competition shield for October.
At the Mo Katoa Cub parade held there was a very good attendance and the usual Cub work was carried out. M Levick kindly instructed the boys in semaphore signalling, and Mr Camden, the Scout ambulance instructor, instructed the Cubs in first aid. The Cubs ard'looking forward to the Scout and Cub district rally to be held in the. Masterton Park on Saturday, December 4. After some enjoyable games had been engaged in, the Cubmaster invested Collin Winslade. Many badges were also presented.
