KING OF ITALY
EARLY ABDICATION LIKELY. BADOGLIO IN THAT EVENT TO RESIGN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.53 q.m.) LONDON, November 4. King Victor Emmanuel’s abdication appears, from reports from the Italian frontier, to have been definitely decided. Router’s Zurich correspondent quotes a message from Chiasso saying that at an important conference at Naples, Marshal Badoglio said he would not oppose abdication, but if it happened he would resign. King Victor Emmanuel arrived in Naples today on “a priavte visit.”
