SCHOOL ASSOCIATION MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the committee of the Featherston Home and School Association was held on Monday night, Mrs Fellingham presiding. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Taylor for a donation, and to Messrs Cole and Farrier for having donated milk for the dances. MINIATURE RIFLES COMPETITION SCORES. The following were the scores in a comtetition held by the Featherston Miniature Rifle Club:—D. Flynn 98, L. Rasmussen 97, K. McKenzie 95, Mrs Thurston 93, R. Johnson 90, Mrs Hodder 87, K. Feast 86, M. Anderson 84, Mrs Clark 82, J. Gain 81, D. Feast 78, K. Wenden 79, A. Johnson 72. L. Wall 70, G. McCormack 64, M. Hutana 64. CROQUET CLUB SEASON OFFICIALLY OPENED. The Featherston Croquet Club officially opened the season on Saturday. The wet weather prevented competitions being played on the lawn. Mrs Wakely, president of the Wairarapa Croquet Association, wished the club every success in the coming season, and declared the lawn open for the season. Afternoon tea was served in the pavilion. COSY THEATRE “WUTHERING HEIGHTS.” Tonight there will be shown “Wuthering Heights,” the outstanding drama founded on the famous novel of Emily Bronte. 'The chief characters are portrayed by Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier and Geraldine Fitzgerald. The associate picture, “The Squeaker,” is adapted from Edgar Wallace’s sensational story, Edmund Lowe and Ann Todd having the principal roles.
