STAKES INCREASED
WELLINGTON SUMMER MEETING. £5OOO . ALLOTTED TO CUP EVENT. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Cup at the summer meeting in January will carry a stake of £5OOO, inclusive of a £l5O cup, £3lOO and the cup going to the winner, £lOOO to the second, £5OO to the third and £250 to the fourth horse. The stake money of some of the other events is also to be increased, and the stewards will meet again to decide the amounts.
