MADRID PAPER’S STORY.

RESTORATION OF MONARCHY.

The Madrid newspaper “El Espanol” today reported that Spanish “Masons” had plotted to overthrow General Franco and restore the monarchy. The paper alleged that the conspirators intended to instal the pretender to the Spanish throne, Don Juan, as King of a “Democratic Monarchy.” The story is supported by reproductions of what are purported to be Masonic documents and photographs. In these documents Don Juan was described -as manageable. The paper alleged that he planned to bring Spain into the war on the side of the United Nations.
