POST-WAR AGRICULTURE
QUESTION IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, October 27. Major York (Conservative) asked Mr Churchill in the House of Commons what steps the Government intended to take in the immediate future to consult the leaders of the agricultural industry on a long-term agricultural policy. Mr Churchill replied: “I do not desire at present to make a statement on this subject.” Major York: “Are you aware that last December a statement was made on behalf of the Government that consultations would take place in the new year.” Mr Churchill: “I have nothing to add to the answer I have just given.”
