INDIA’S WAR EFFORT
ENORMOUS EXPANSION ARMY OF TWO MILLIONS. INCREASED INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) RUGBY, October' 28. The Indian Army now numbers two millions, according to a Press message from New Delhi. Over half a million Indian soldiers, from all parts of India, are on service abroad, and the Navy has increased tenfold. Many thousands of Indians are working in shipbuilding yards and repair shops. The export of textiles has increased from 250 million yards in the year before the war to a thousand million yards this year.
