EXCHANGE PRISONERS

NEW ZEALANDERS & OTHERS GERMAN SHIPS ARRIVE AT BARCELONA (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. October 27. The German ship Djenne, carrying New Zealand, Australian and other Empire prisoners of war, who are being repatriated, has arrived at Barcelona. The other ship, the Aquilcja, which developed engine trouble, arrived later. The British ships Cuba and Tauria, which were the first to enter Barcelona since the civil war, were brilliantly illuminated. The exchange of prisoners occurs today. The British Ambassador, Sir Samuel Hoare, said he hoped that this would be the first of a scries of exchanges so that all seriously wounded on both sides could reach their homes.
