The United States will soon be turning out an aeroplane every five minutes, or 8,640 a month, said the acting chairman of the War Production Board, Mr Wilson. - He added that the United States produced 110,000 aircraft in the 21 months ended on September '3O. In the same period the United States- produced 60,000 tanks and tank chassis, 21 million deadweight tons of merchant shipping and three million displacement tons of naval vessels.
