SOVIET & POLAND

RESUMPTION OF RELATIONS AGREED TO IN PRINCIPLE. PRIOR TO MOSCOW CONFERENCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. The Russian Government has agreed in principle to resume diplomatic relations with the Polish Government in London, says the “Evening Standard.” This decision is not an outcome of the Moscow conference. It was contained in a memorandum in which Russia last month replied to representations from the Ambassadors of Britain and America in Moscow.

Mr Eden (British Foreign Secretary) before leaving for Russia, received a memorandum from the Polish Government expressing a desire to resume relations with Russia.
