The Free Yugoslav radio states: — “Yugoslavs have occupied.the iron ore mines in Ljubljana, destroying all installations at the mines, the biggest of their kind in Yugoslavia. Other Yugoslav successes include the occupation of the town of Bosanka Dubica, on the Una River, and the Island of Sipan. of! the Dalmatian coast, north of Dubrovnik, where a steamer, two motor vessels, two fishing boats, six wagons of food and 17 German soldiers were captured. “German dive-bombers heavily raided Sense, on the Croatian coast, completely destroying the town and killing most of the population, which in peace time numbered between 3000 and 4000.” PROGRESS MADE TWENTY MILES BEYOND CAPUA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) < RUGBY, October 22. A North Africa communique states: “In the Eighth Army sector positions have been gained and are being consolidated. Patrols • continue to be active against varying enemy resistance. “The Fifth Army continues to push northward, in spite of enemy counterattacks, which were repelled. Enemy rearguards are active and demolitions are being extensively encountered. Piedmonte Dalife and Alife have been captured.” Piedmonte Dalife lies some 20 miles north-east of Capua and Alife is a few miles south-west, down the road towards Cajazzo and Capua.”
