AMERICAN APPOINTMENT
SUCCESSOR TO MR HARRIMAN AS HEAD OF ECONOMIC MISSION IN LONDON (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m. RUGBY, October 20. President Roosevelt has appointed Mr Philip D. Reed, who has been associated with Mr Averell Harriman in London for the past year, to be chief of the United States Mission on Economic Affairs to London, with the lank of Minister, in succession to Mr Harriman.
