ITALIAN STEAMERS
IN HANDS OF GERMANS INTERCEPTED BY BRITISH DESTROYERS. ONE SUNK AND ANOTHER TAKEN INTO PORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) . RUGBY, October 20. The Admiralty states that two British destroyers engaged in sweeps of the Adriatic on Saturday, intercepted two Italian steamers. One, with an armed guard on board, was taken into harbour, The other, manned by Germans, was set on fire by her crew and had to be sunk by our forces.
