POLISH DIVISION

IN ACTION ON DNIEPER FRONT. LONDON, October 20. The Russian Press has published a statement from the All-Slav conference that the first Polish division with the Russian Army has crossed the Dnieper. A message to the Polish troops said: “You have to lay the foundation of a new Poland. The hour of Poland's liberation is near.” The Moscow “Izvestia” in a leading article says: “The Red Army is fighting for the Ukraine from Kiev to Lvov.” Lvov is inside Poland’s south-eastern border of 1939. The Polish division now in action was established when the Polish authorities evacuated the army which had been previously formed in Russia under General Anders.
