MAURICEVILLE
JUNIOR RED CROSS EXAMINATION RESULTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Junior Red Cross pupils of the Mauriceville East and West schools recently sat for their first aid examination following a series of lectures conducted in the Mauriceville East School by officials of the Red Cross Society. The children did excellent work, showing that they possessed a good elementary knowledge of the subject. The results were as follow: —Passed with honours: Audrey Meredith and Philip Connor. Passed: Margaret O’Neill, Elva McKeown, Daphne Wilkin, Melva Smart, June Wilkin, Dawn Wilson, Isobol Lchmstedt, Doreen Godden, Liam O’Neill, Natty O’Neill, lan Baine, Norrie O’Neill, lan McKenzie, Rex McArley, Terence McGruddy, Stan Williams, Keith Mortensen, Harry Lchmstedt and Ron Neighbours. Soldiers’ Send-off Committee. It is expected that there will be a good attendance at the Mauriceville East Soldiers’ Send-off Committee meeting tonight. Personal. Air Corporal Herb. Milner, who has been laid up in hospital for some weeks, receiving treatment after an accident, is staying with his parents xor a day or two. Corporal Milner, who has not fully recovered, will return to Wellington at an early date.
