SWIMMING CLUB

Gardner at last night’s meeting of the Masterton Borougn Council when it was decided to refund to the Masterton Swimming Club the council’s share (£5 4s 6d) of the gate takings. Councillor G. D. Wilson said it was not a case for a refund. On principle he opposed remitting the amount. Councillor C. E. Grey said it was a worthy cause, as it was one which taught the youth of the town to swim.
