ATTACKED BY ALLIED BOMBERS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE AT RHODES. KOS HARBOUR BLASTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) RUGBY, October 18. R.A.F. heavy bombers attacked Marrtza aerodrome, in Rhodes, during Saturday night, causing bursts in the aircraft dispersal area. Hits were made on hangars. Other aircraft bombed Kos Harbour on the same night, starting fires, says a Middle East air communique. In daylight on Sunday, bombers attacked Syros Harbour, in the Aegean Sea. From these and other operations none of our aircraft are missing.
