AIR TRAINING CORPS
PUBLIC MEETING TONIGHT RECRUITING DRIVE WING COMMANDER G. NICHOLLS TO SPEAK A public meeting has been called for tonight at 7.30 o’clock in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, with a view to enlisting the support of the citizens of Masterton in the activities of the Air Training Corps. At tonight's meeting the aims and objects of the Air Training Corps will be fully explained by Wing Commander G. A. Nicholls, Commandant of the Air Training Corps, and he will be pleased to answer any questions relevant to the Corps. A preliminary meeting was held last week in order to arrange for a publicity committee to be set up in connection with a recruiting drive to be held in Masterton during the visit of the Mobile Instructional Unit on Monday and Tuesday. October 25 and 26. The Mobile Instructional Unit of the Air Training Corps will enable cadets and members of the public to obtain an inside view of the technical and flying side of the R.N.Z.A.E- and also the background of the A.T.C. training programme.
Parents of youths between the ages of 16 and 20 years are specially invited to attend the meeting tonight.
