RESENTED BY GREEKS

RECOGNITION OF ITALY' AS CO-BELLIGERENT THREATENED RESIGNATIONS OF MINISTERS SOME ASSURANCES OFFERED (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day. 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, October 17. Greek feeling against the Italians is bitter, and members of the Greek Government strongly resent the Allied recognition of Italy as a cobelligerent. A Cairo message reports that all members of the Greek Cabinet yesterday tendered their resignations to the Prime Minister, M. Tsouderos, but he refused to accept them. M. Tsouderos is expected to assure his Cabinet that full repayment of Italy’s debt to Greece will be demanded. Last week the Greek national newspaper in Cairo reminded the Allies that the Greeks have heavy accounts to settle with the Italians. The Bari radio today denied that Generals Ambrosio and Roatta were included in the Italian Government. A report that they had been included in Marshal Badoglio's new Cabinet caused wide criticism, because they had been named as two of the generals responsible for terrorism in Yugoslavia during the Italian occupation. POISON GAS GENIUS HAILE SELASSIE DENOUNCES BADOGLIO JUDGMENT OF WAR CRIMINALS DEMANDED (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, October 17. “The allegeci desire of the Badoglio Government to drive the Germans from Italy cannot break the bonds tying the Italian nation to its guilty attempts to drive the Ethiopians, Albanians, French, Greeks and Yugoslavs from their homes, nor can Badoglio, genius of poison gas, break the bonds forever tying his name to the murder of our children.”—The Emperor Haile Selassie made this statement in an interview with Reuter’s Addis Ababa correspondent. The Emperor added: “Eadoglio’s clumsy attempts to steal into the victors’ camp, to escape personal responsibility before a tribunal to judge war criminals, will deceive nobody. Ethiopia reserves all rights to obtain satisfaction in a just manner.”
