CUBS AND SCOUTS
MO KATOA TROOP SEVERAL BOYS PASS TESTS At the parade last night of the Mo Katoa Troop there was a good attendance. Scouts R. Harman, S. Cretney, D. Torr and P. Dalrymple passed their Observation Test for the Second Class Badge, while R. Montgomery passed the Scouts’ Pace for the same test. During the week Scout Alf Levick passed the Handyman Badge test, and Scout P. Dalrymple passed in signalling in semaphore for the Second Class Badge. The boys are all busy training for the country rally to be held in December. At the Mo Katoa Cub Parade, the Cubmaster welcomed two more recruits, R. Orange and L. Cox, into the Pack. In a handball competition the combined strength of the Red and Yellow sixes challenged the Green and Grey sixes. The Red and Yellow sixes won, the score being four goals to nil. During the meeting, Mr E. Pedersen, the assistant Scoutmaster, visited the Pack. At the close of the parade the Cubmaster, Miss O. Curry, presented Cub W. Kane with his first hat star and his Ist year service star.
