Mrs W. White, of Masterton. is the guest of Mrs Graham Nelson, of Pori. Inspecting Officei’ G. Drummond, of the Wellington Fire Brigade, has been appointed superintendent of the Napier Fire Brigade. Mr lan Matheson, Wellington, has been elected president of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation for the ensuing year. Mr W. J. Truscott, Auckland. has been appointed vice-president. Mr J. Abel was re-elected treasurer.
The death occurred in a private hospital in Wellington this morning of Mrs Katherine Mary Hollis, wife of Mr Ernest Hollis, of 48 Rodrigo Road. Wellington. The late Mrs Hollis formerly resided in Masterton. She was 52 years of age.
