POST-WAR POLICY
OF THE UNITED STATES RESOLUTION FAVOURING CO-OPERATION. PASSED BY SUB-COMMITTEE OF SENATE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, October 13. The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee, voting 7 to 1, approved a resolution pledging the United States to continue to wage the war against all our enemies until complete victory has been achieved, that the United States co-operate with its comrades in arms in securing a just and honourable peace and that the United States, acting through its constitutional processes, join with free and sovereign nations in the establishment and maintenance of an international authority, with power to prevent aggression and to preserve world peace. Senator R. M. La Follette was the dissenting committeeman. The chairman, Senator Tom Connally, predicted that the full committee would approve the resolution and voiced an opinion that the Senate would also concur.
